I'm Dove, a US-based artist & graphic design student who animates as a hobby.Storytelling is my passion, and outside of this project, I work with other online-based narrative projects & illustration

Vivit is an original webseries following an ensemble cast of characters in a near-future USA. With the rise of android technology and an opposing anti-android force, things are more dangerous than ever for droid and human alike. But the clock is ticking, and hard choices have to be made on who's so-called atruism can be trusted when everyone seems to have their own agenda in mind.

FAQ ⸻

Is there a concrete release schedule?I wish there could be! But due to circumstances outside of my control, I cannot dedicate as much time to this project as I would like. I reccomend you follow my photo-based social media accounts for supplementary material. Otherwise, it arrives when it does.Is using your art for icons / banners / edits okay?As long as there's proper credit involved, please feel more than free to. Proper credit means including my username (@dovoodles) in an available infobox / account biography / description. Using minor coloring filters is also alright as long as proper credit is given.

Are Fan Art / Fiction / Edits acceptable?Absolutely. The way I view art, once it's been released out into the world, it's no longer within my hands. You are free to do whatever you want with my characters, as long as I am properly attributes for what I have created. I also adore being tagged in fan content, so please don't be shy to do so.Do you allow reposts? No, and please don't. This does not refer to sites with a reshare option (i.e. tumblr reblogs and twitter retweets), but creating a new, independent post on your profile with my own content. If you desire my content to be cross-posted onto another site, let me know, and I'll see if it's feasible for me to set up there! Otherwise, simply link my post.

Pretty much every American knows how the Android Race ends up. It's awfully hard not to when your country ends up on top. A little more surreal when you have to explain it to someone outside of your little bubble. But you can try anyways:

Fifteen years ago, one Samuel Carnegie took the trophy in creating an android that was, without a doubt, sentient. That android, NERVA, by the way, goes off the fritz and gets kidnapped by a madwoman called Ash Croft. Or, well, if you ask some loony activist, she's now the fairly well spoken founder of the Android Liberation Network (ALN). Regardless, that android somehow sues for legal rights and wins, and then just ... goes off the grid!So then, Samuel Carnegie takes a 180, and brings a bunch of different companies together under the Android Safety and Control Organization (ASCA), which, depending on who you ask, either is a walking human rights violation or the number one friend of every anti-droid lunatic to ever exist.

You could try to explain all that. Or just shake your head, because what does any regular person care about androids anyways?

NERVA

SHE/HER • ANDROID • AGE: ???

The only registered type one android in the United States. FIfteen years ago she made numervous headlines, both under the control of and after abandoning creator Samuel Carnegie. nothing has been confirmed about her current location, but many have sworn that they've seen her face in passerbys. Though she's far more indistinguishable from humans than the average android, if you have the chance to look at her up close, her reflective eyes and joint divisions betray her true nature. The only one who has spoken about her after her disappearance is Ash Croft . In spite of the bad publicity she recieved for being involved with the android, going so far as to be charged with property theft (which was dropped as soon as NERVA earned citizenship), Croft has nothing but kind words to say about her.

BACK?

ASH CROFT

SHE/HER • HUMAN • AGE: 41

Proud co-founder of the Android Liberation Network, also known as the country's biggest punching bag. Opinions on android rights activism has always been divisive, but most of the debate lies in whether or not androids should be legal. The concept of allowing them to vy for rights is seen as laughable. With her experiences with NERVA, though, Ash has grown to believe firmly that not only are modern androids sentient enough to warrant rights, but that she has what it takes to earn them.Mack, her co-founder and journalist friend, is often the balancing force to Ash's more impulsive and hot-headed nature. In spite of this, most who know Ash says she's got a good heart down there, just sometimes a bit too overeager in her means.

BACK?

SAMUEL CARNEGIE

HE/HIM • HUMAN • AGE: 44

Controversial wouldn't even begin to describe the absolute mess of a public presence Samuel Carnegie has acquired over the years. Born into a well-to-do family within the country's northern region, the man always had a foot in the spotlight—only to increase tenfold by the creation of NERVA.Since then, he's completely abandoned the innovative sphere, instead being on the front lines of demanding policy concerning the restriction of androids. Whether it be elites protecting a bottom line or droid activists, this path has angered many people. However, outside of that, he's surprisingly described to be rather likeable. Maybe it's the tragedy of being a single father that always pulls a few heart strings. Just don't go looking at the skeletons in his closet.

VIDA CARNEGIE

THEY/THEM • HUMAN • AGE: 17

Public information about Samuel Carnegie's only child is nearly as sparse as his other creation. Sheltered away from the prying eye of the press, all that's left is the rumor mill that always circulates in the Carnegies wake. The issue is—the image can change depending on who you ask. Some will swear up and down that the younger Carnegie is nothing but well behaved. Well read, polite, eloquent—everything you'd expect.Others will insist that they're a total nightmare. Entitled, demanding, taking up a ridiculous amount of attention and woefully out of touch.Who's right? Who's to say.

AMATUS

HE/HIM • ANDROID • IH-485

Amatus is the name the reported android prefers to go by, but around these parts, most people would be damned to call an android anything other than its serial number.Another android in an ASCA sponsored facility, there's nothing all too special of note. Workers might point out that this android is more well behaved than the others, or has encountered less damage than the average android of such an age will. After all, seven years is quite a feat. Many get dismantled well before then.Logs end here. ASCA president, Samuel Carnegie, had requested for this android to be discharged for personal use. It's not typically policy to allow such an ask, but there's no use arguing with someone of his influence. Besides, it's not like anything all too notable could come of that.

MACK BUCKLEY

HE/HIM • HUMAN • AGE: 37

Co-founder of the Android Liberation Network, also known as the country's biggest punching bag. The movement has potential, but the ALN is seen as bringing it down through 'extremist' takes.Looking for a big break at a young age, Mack got into political journalism in the hopes to find success. Unfortunately, fate wasn't so lucky, and even when joining forces with friend & roommate Ash, the two have found little success.Mack is a loyal follower through and through... perhaps a little too well. He sticks by Ash's side at all times, being the more optimistic and peace-loving counterpart to her ambitiously aggressive behavior.
