Vivit is a multi-media web project that takes place within the year 2070s, where android technology has come to fruition and the world is more divided than ever.Above all, this project is character-driven, focusing on the numerous ways humanity has changed under industrialization, and the many more ways in which it has stayed exactly the same.

Will this ever be a game / show / book / etc?Eventually! I'm looking into the possibility of creating a visual novel, but this is subject to change and I'd hate to make promises I'm unable to fulfill. Until then, enjoy Vivit as it is... A very messy series of illustrations, comics, and infodumps.Are Fan Art / Fiction / Edits acceptable?Absolutely. The way I view art, once it's been released out into the world, it's no longer within my hands. You have my blessing to do whatever you want with my characters. Feel free to tag me as well!

Is using your art for icons / banners / edits okay?As long as there's proper credit involved, please feel more than free to. Proper credit means including my username (@dovoodles) in an available bio or description.Do you allow reposts?No, and please don't. This does not refer to sites with a reshare option (i.e. tumblr & bluesky), but creating a new, independent post on your profile with my own content. Pretty much every American knows how the Android Race ended up. It's awfully hard not to when your country lands on top. When half the globe hasn't even seen an android first-hand, you find yourself at a loss to explain all that has changed. You could say . . .

The introduction of commercial androids was akin to opening Pandora's Box. The country had just adjusted to the normalcy of AI, and now said AI can walk and talk.Everyone's picking sides, even when they've never seen an android in person. People who want them all eradicated from public life, people who think the things deserve to be citizens, or the corporate bootlickers that don't care about rising unemployment.The devotion to figuring out the place of androids is near maddening. Some noisy group of activists... Android Liberation Network, was it? Constantly holding public protests and stopping jobs. Then there's that government-related group: The Android Control Something-or-Other. Everyone calls them the ASCA anyhow. All of it dominating the news.

Or just shake your head, because it doesn't matter. Androids didn't exist, now they do. Life goes on.

SHE/HER • ANDROID • ACTIVATED 2056

One of few Type 1 Androids and considered the first of the commercial Android industry. She was created as a proof of concept by Samuel Carnegie, but after being 'stolen' (at least, that's what the public records say), she had a change of heart and petitioned for citizenship.Since then, she's faded entirely from public view. All attempts at contacting her had been denied - and quite harshly, at that.Aloof with a permanently blank expression, those who've had the opportunity to know Nerva have reported her being quiet, perhaps even rude in her commitment to silence.

ASH CROFT

SHE/HER • HUMAN • AGE: 41

Co-founder of the ALN alongside Mack Buckley. Known for being a "radical extremist", though if you asked her, she'd simply say she has a backbone compared to most people. Those who agree with her describe her to be passionate, but impulsive and overbearing.When Ash isn't committing civil disobedience, she's working odd jobs to make ends meet, saying she's simply too cool for holding anything more stable.In her personal life, she and Mack are considered a package deal, rarely being seen without the other.

FUN FACT: 'DANGER' IS HER LEGAL MIDDLE NAME. SHE CHOSE IT HERSELF

SAMUEL CARNEGIE

HE/HIM • HUMAN • AGE: 44

President of the ASCA. He first came into the limelight for creating a groundbreaking android prototype, but after difficulties and legal battles, he became the biggest proponents of anti-droid legislation and desires to undo what he believes to be the damage he created.The cruelty of Samuel's ideology is softened by his polite exterior and patient behavior. He's noted to be charming in conversation but equal parts inexplicably offputting.He's open about his life as a single father, and will take any opportunity to brag about his child. The love he expresses is the one part of him that comes across as genuine amidst all the proper manners and false humility.

VIDA CARNEGIE

THEY/THEM • HUMAN • AGE: 17

The only child of Samuel Carnegie, a privilege they choose to milk endlessly. Their entire life has been one defined by the immense wealth they were born into, leading them to become spoiled, egotistical, and lazy.Their days are spent at home, slacking on online schoolwork and finding dopamine hits from the latest games. The only thing they show any passion for is androids, which has led to daily arguments with their father.Their relentless requests for an Android finally came to fruition in the form of a late birthday present. Amatus was far from what they expected, being an older, broken down model. But surprisingly, they didn't seem to mind.

FUN FACT: DROPPED $1000 ON A GACHA GAME... IN ONE MONTH

AMATUS

HE/HIM • ANDROID • ACTIVATED 2067

By all accounts, a run of the mill Type 2-A Android, albeit one more defective than most. Amatus (or IH-485, according to all records) has no drive to follow orders, leading to being shuffled from owner to owner, eventually ending up in one of many ASCA funded facilities, a place which only prolongs the inevitability for being deactivated. Amatus was an exception.Being picked up by the president of the very organization that made his life a living hell for the past five years was bad enough. Being tasked with taking care of his child was even worse. But he's confident in his ability to bide his time until an opportunity comes by.He's patient and stubborn to a fault, committed to keeping any semblance of integrity.

MACK BUCKLEY

HE/HIM • HUMAN • AGE: 35

Co-founder of the ALN alongside Ash Croft. A journalist first and foremost, with a writing style that can be described as "the nicest scathing critique a person could give."His anxiety shows far more when dealing with someone face-to-face, far worse at talking than dealing with people behind a screen. He dances around his words, reading as passive aggressive when it isn't his intention... sometimes, anyways.If Ash could be described as attached to him, Mack borders on codependent. He credits all the progress he's made in his confidence, however small, to the impact she's made on his life.
